John 20:22

Then he breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit.

Series: Receiving the Holy Spirit

– The Holy Spirit is the Lord of revival.

– When we lean on the Holy Spirit, when we depend on the Holy Spirit, when we let the Holy Spirit have His say and take control of our lives, we will experience revival.

– Jesus’ entire life was an overflow of the Spirit,

– He was born in the Spirit, He was moved and ministered in the power of the Holy Spirit. Whatever He did was baptized in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Then He came to a place where He has even victory over death. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that Jesus endured the cross, that He was risen again.

– Bible says, this overflow power that He experienced in the Holy Spirit, He breathed upon the disciples to receive. (John 20:22)

– If we want for people around us to experience and receive the Holy Spirit then we ourselves must walk in an overflow.

– It doesn’t matter how much we do or try but people around us will not receive from us if we do not have an overflow ourselves, of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

– We need to be able to invest in our personal time with God, with the Word, with the intimate devotional personal walk with the Holy Spirit, such that His presence begins to overtake and invade and overflow in every area of our lives, before we can expect Him to do that in the lives of people around us, our families, our church, our friends, our work.

There cannot be revival in our land until we decide to take it upon ourselves and pray to the Lord for an overflow in us, such that just a breath from us, that we just breathe upon people and they will receive the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit!
