An Offering to God

by | Mar 29, 2021 | Discipleship

But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy. – Philippians 2:17

Series: Lifestyle of Faithfulness

We have been talking about the importance of faithfulness.

Faithfulness in relationships is an expression of our faithfulness towards God.

We see this in Joseph’s life, when he was exhibiting his faithfulness in his relationship to Potiphar and his wife; he was expressing his faithfulness towards God.

Faithfulness in this age is such a rare commodity, but yet we see the blessing of God rest only upon those who are faithful to Him.

When you are doing everything to God faithfully, you are going to experience joy and share that joy.

Paul, in this scripture, says how he poured out his life for God as a liquid offering and he compares that with the faithful service that the church in Philippi did towards God and towards him. And he says that it is an offering to God.

Your faithfulness becomes your greatest expression of worship to God.

We cannot fool God by singing great songs and not be faithful in your offerings, tithes or other things. When your faithfulness includes everything, then it will bring a lasting result.

The more you are faithful towards God, the more your worship will increase.

You are faithful to your spouse, not because you are scared of anything but because you love them. This should be the same with God too.

Your faithfulness towards God should not be because you are scared of Him but because you love Him. Click To Tweet

Your faithful service is your expression of worship to God. The best offering and the best expression of love towards God.
