By His Power

Aug 29, 2019 | Discipleship

Acts 4:7,13 NLT
They brought in the two disciples and demanded, “By what power, or in whose name, have you done this?” The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.

Series: Marks of a True Disciple

Greetings in Jesus Name!We have been studying about the Marks of a True Disciple which are as mentioned below:

  1. Be a follower of Jesus.
  2. Pursue a deeper understanding.
  3. Willing to be sent out by Him.

The book of acts talks about a context where a lame man gets healed and questions arose in who’s name was this done? Here’s the key:

  • The disciples were empowered by Jesus.
  • The disciples moved in power.
  • A mere word has the power to transform a heart.
  • The small gesture of Jesus having a meal at Zacchaeus’ place made him repent and also reconcile.
  • The same power that Jesus carries is the same power a child/disciple of God carries.
  • The key to moving in power is to be with Jesus!

When you spend time with Jesus you will move in power as a true Disciple would!God bless you.We pray this podcast brings a new hope for you to carry and move in power!
