Series: Marks of a True Disciple

Another mark of a true disciple is to be sent out by Jesus on a mission to represent Him in the world.

People should examine and see whether they live for the Master or for themselves by inspecting their everyday activities and finding out whether Jesus has ordained it.

May it be a ministry activity or a promotion at work; if one has not heard about it from God; he/she should pause and find out if it is Jesus who has sent them into it or if they went into it on their own.

When Jesus sends people out, no matter how difficult it may seem; He will give them grace and sustain them in every difficult hour. They don’t have to worry or fear anything because the Holy Spirit even gives the very words that they need to speak.

When people make Jesus the focal point of their attention, everything else will fade away; it is when they take their eyes off Jesus, that the things of the world seem dangerous and problematic.

Jesus says that, “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven”

True disciples must be willing to be sent by Jesus into various situations of their lives and experience the fruit that comes because of their obedience.
