Chaos is the Consequence

Apr 18, 2018 | Evangelism

Isaiah 3:5 NLT
“People will oppress each other – man against man, neighbor against neighbor. Young people will insult their elders, and vulgar people will sneer at the honorable.”

Series: The Book of Isaiah

Every morning when God speaks to us it is so that we can have fresh word to build our foundation upon. The Bible says that we do not just live by food, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God, that is why it is important for us to go to God on a daily basis to ask Him for inspiration, revelation, encouragement and life giving word that will sustain us for the course of the day.

Today’s scripture porton is from Isaiah 3:5 – “People will oppress each other – man against man, neighbor against neighbor. Young people will insult their elders, and vulgar people will sneer at the honorable.”

God is showing us the picture of the world that is stained by sin. The biggest sin back in those days was idol worship. Idol worship doesn’t just mean to worship a literal idol, but any kind of people or things or even a god – anything that we keep in the place of trusting in the real true creator of heaven and the earth.

God doesn’t like the fact of we trusting in idols, kingdoms of this world and trusting in sinful people and because we are trusting them the chaos of natural consequence of sin is now going to come in our home, church, family or nation.

If we want to build a healthy society, the foundation has to be the Word of God. We cannot build it based on political or man made philosophy because all of man made philosophy are flawed since the heart and mind of man has sin, deceitfulness and it is all twisted. That is why we need to go to God and ask for His model and His culture. Anytime we live apart from the culture that God has taught us in His word, it will be the end.

Whatever we are going to sow we are going to reap. If we keep sowing hatred, dishonour, rejection, lust or seeds of greed, we will reap exactly that same things.

If we are going to sow into culture of vulgarity, greed, and a culture without God and idol worship and not depending on God then chaos is going to be our portion.

The only way to get out this is by coming to Jesus. We need to completely give our heart to Jesus. If we are going to sow into culture that looks like Jesus, follows and obeys Jesus then we will reap a lifetime of righteousness, clarity instead of confusion, detailed direction for every step that we take instead of confusion and purposelessness.

Prayer:

“Daddy God I pray over the person who is listening to this morning, I declare that Your love will go and just embrace them. It’s not because You want to judge and punish them that there will be oppression, insult and all these confusing state of mind when we run away from You, it’s just the natural consequences of living devoid of You. So we pray that in this season You will give us the heart and the desire to just trust in You and depend upon You and to live by Your word and Your voice for our lives. All glory and honour to You, in Jesus name. Amen!”
