Source of Salvation

Jun 5, 2019 | Evangelism

Hebrews 5:9 GNT
“When he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him,”

It is so essential for us to know what Jesus accomplished for us.

Hebrews 5:9 says the Jesus was made perfect which is a very derogatory term for Jesus, since He is the only perfect one, but what we fail to understand is that He became and carried our sin and died for us and after paying the price for our death, He rose again from the dead and was glorified. God gave Him a name above every other name.

It is not that Jesus’ death brings us salvation, but His death, His burial and His resurrection and Him being seated at the right hand of God – this is what brings us salvation, forgiveness and give us eternal hope.

What Jesus did with His death, burial and resurrection is that He eternally invested your security. For eternity you are His child and you belong to Him.

What do we need to do?

The Bible says ‘He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obeyHim

The only thing that is left for us to do is to obey Him and follow His footsteps by studying who He is, by talking to Him, read His word, spend time with others who have had personal encounters with Him and you yourselves develop a personal relationship with Him. This is when you will be able to enjoy the salvation.

Obedience requires a lifestyle of following Jesus.

Are you ready to give your life in following Him?

Where ever you are or whatever point of life you are at, there is still hope for you and a great place for you to turn around and enjoy this salvation that God has prepared for you.
