Bend Down, Listen & See!

Jun 5, 2018 | Prayer

Isaiah 37:17
Bend down, O Lord, and listen! Open Your eyes, O Lord, and see! Listen to Sennacherib’s words of defiance against the living God.

Series: The Book of Isaiah

Yesterday we read about how the Assyrian officials were calling out and asking people not to trust in Hezekiah. Today we will see what Hezekiah says.

In Isaiah 37:17, Hezekiah is praying and asking God to bend down, listen and to look. By saying this he is acknowledging that God is bigger than his problems, greater than his worries and that God is like a father who will lift up His children.

Hezekiah is asking 3 things to God before he complains about Sennacherib:

He is asking God to;
1 – bend down
2 – listen to him
3 – and open His eyes and see

This is the key for your breakthrough to come!

Many a times we pray that we want to see, hear and feel God, but today can you pray the other way around for God to see you and hear you?

The moment Hezekaih began to pray, the bible says God sent Isaiah with a word of deliverance and total destruction of the Assyrian armies. And as a result of it, 1,85,000 Assyrian soldiers were killed overnight without a battle or even soldiers but through one prayer – bend down, listen and see!

If this is your prayer, your breakthrough is eminent.
