What God Wants You to Do

Feb 19, 2019 | Prayer

Ephesians 5:17 GNT
“Don’t be fools, then, but try to find out what the Lord wants you to do.”

There are things that will make us anxious or trouble our hearts and burden our spirits. It can be physical pain in our body or an addiction or the relationships. So whatever may be your challenge or mountains or fears, bring those things to Jesus and get into a heart to heart conversation with Him.

Bible says that the fools say that there is no God at all. So any time if we feel there is no need of God’s help in our time of trouble or pain, it means we are acting foolish.

In Ephesians 5:17, God is giving us a commandment “Don’t be fools.”

We often act foolish by figuring out the solutions on our own and don’t use external source for help to come out of our mess. We all need the active and intangible presence of God.

Bible also says in Ephesians 5:17, “…try to find out what the Lord wants you to do.” If you are not in the constant pursuit of the will of God for your life, it means you don’t have wisdom. Our greatest wisdom and understanding of what to do with our life is found when we depend on God to know the will of God for our life.

We always reduce our dependency in God to just a few things. We should practice to ask the will of God on a daily basis in every area of our life. Be as desperate and as dependent on God like a child who depends for the mother’s milk.

Tell God that you don’t want to be a fool; instead you want to be a man or woman of God who is able to understand to focus on God.

If you believe in Jesus, you will know that the life that God has called you is a life that is filled with greater things and to accomplish them. Because Jesus said, “If you believe in Me, you will do greater things than what I have done.”

Be dependent on God daily and ask Him what is it that He wants you to speak or to do specifically in your marriage or ministry or church that He wants to be aligned with His will for your life.

When you seek Him, He will reveal His plans and speak His heart out to you. Be ready to embrace the change that will blow your mind. We serve a God who makes the impossible things possible.

Today as you pray, don’t forget to ask for wisdom to do what God wants you to do.
