Intimacy to Worship
1 Chronicles 28:9 NLT
And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the LORD sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

David advices his son Solomon to know the God of His ancestors intimately.
One may not always know to pray and may struggle in the relationship with God. Kids don’t learn to relate to people overnight and need to learn. Babies initially don’t respond much to the parent and slowly learn the things that please the parents overtime. One grows in a relationship when he/she learns the likes and dislikes of the other.
In order to grow in our knowledge of God and be intimate with Him, genuine worship is needed. One of the reasons churches today lack in worshiping God is because they don’t really know who God is but only know a few facts about God.
One may know a lot about a person and still not know them well till one meets that person and has a conversation with them.
The church today has become content with just knowing a few facts about God and so is not provoked into sincere and undignified worship.
David desired and asked to stay in the house of God and gaze at His beauty all the days of His life. This provoked him to worship in an undignified manner before his wife and all his country.
When a person is not able to worship God intimately, he/she should pray for God’s help and work on knowing Him intimately and desire to see Him more clearly.
In the kingdom of God, everyone that saw Him cried out ‘Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord’. When God reveals Himself to a person, worship will come naturally to him/her.
