Response to Blessings

Apr 26, 2019 | Revival

Luke 17:15-16 HCSB
“But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God. He fell facedown at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.”

Today’s scripture is about the story of 10 leper’s who had been healed by Jesus.

One among the 10 lepers who got healed came back and praised God and fell facedown at the feet of Jesus. This is an amazing expression of beauty and worship. Several times we would see people express their need for healing in the Bible, people crying out, climbing trees, doing crazy things for an encounter with Jesus. This story is of a guy who responded ‘after’ receiving the healing.

Most times we don’t hear many stories of people after they’ve received healing from Jesus.
Bible says he did not just thank God with a small ‘thank you’ but he turned his healing into worship and thanks to God and living his life surrendering to God and following Jesus.

Real revival is how we respond to the small moves in our land. When God heals a member in our church, how do we respond back to God? When a seed begins to bear fruit in the church, how do you respond to God?

Sometimes when answers to healing come through, we tend to take our relationship with God for granted.

Can we be extravagant in our following of God? Whatever we celebrate, will multiply. Whatever the Samaritan lost was restored back to him. So, respond to the small miracles, so that much more impact can occur in our city, in our life, in our work etc.

When we are excited about giving back to God, we will just be waiting for the opportunity to thank Him and fall at His feet.

Instead of saying that we are satisfied of having our needs met, we have to be in a place where we keep going back to God saying we need Him more than yesterday.
